On February 1st, Brent FoE helped celebrate the Jewish New Year for Trees, or Tu Bishvat, at a multi-faith event organised by the Jewish Community Group Makor Hayim.

The event was attended by members of the Jewish Community and by other faith and social groups, including members of Christian, Brahma Kumaris and Pagan communities, as well as Brent FoE. All spoke from their perspective on the importance of trees from a cultural, social and spiritual point of view. Of course Brent FoE talked about the role trees play in cleaning the air, mitigating climate change and creating a home for wildlife. There were also stories, games and songs, led to a large extent by some very able children. And some delicious vegan food.
