Queens Park Day, September 13th 2026
For Queens Park Day this year, we focussed on the Planet over Profit Campaign, getting people to sign our petition to Parliament calling for a new law which would hold businesses accountable for any damage to the environment and human rights happening anywhere along the supply chain.
The stall was decked out with a nature based theme, with bits of ivy, decorations, and soft toy animals, making it appealing to passers by.
Many members volunteered to staff the stall, and despite the occasional rain, we had large numbers signing the petition - enough that much of the time there were queues of people waiting in the rain to enter their names into the laptop. The Mayor, Cllr Amer Agha, also chatted with Pam, and signed the petition.
